No published fixed timetable; departures run through the day. The booking page shows the times for your date.

The route

The bus leaves the twin cities on the M-1 motorway, crosses the Indus near Attock and passes Swabi and Nowshera before entering Peshawar. It is a fast, smooth road with little reason to stop.

Along the way: stops and landmarks

The bus leaves the twin cities on the M-1 near Golra. After about an hour it reaches the Indus near Attock; from the bridge you can see Attock Fort and the meeting of the Kabul and Indus rivers. The motorway then passes Swabi and Mardan interchanges, Rashakai and Nowshera before reaching Peshawar.

There is usually no stop on this short trip, although some buses pause briefly at the Swabi service area.

Boarding and arrival points

Boarding in Islamabad

Board at the Islamabad terminal on Ghazali Road, GT Road, or in Rawalpindi if shown on your ticket. In Peshawar see our terminal guide.

Choosing the right class

On a trip under three hours, the lowest class is perfectly comfortable. The Executive seat (about Rs 940) is only slightly more expensive, so many passengers choose it for the extra legroom. For a day trip, book your return seat in advance on Fridays and Sundays.

If you are travelling for a university admission, interview or official appointment, take an early bus to allow for traffic inside Peshawar.

Best time to travel

The route works year-round. March to May and September to November are the most pleasant months; Peshawar summers are hot and winter mornings can be foggy near Attock and Nowshera. During Ramadan, bus timings and terminal hours may change, so check before you travel.

Arriving in Peshawar: getting around

Peshawar is the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and one of the oldest living cities in South Asia. Qissa Khwani Bazaar, Mahabat Khan Mosque, Sethi House, Peshawar Museum and Namak Mandi's food are the classic stops for visitors.

The Peshawar BRT runs east–west from Chamkani to Hayatabad and is the quickest way across the city. Ride-hailing apps and rickshaws are widely available. For the old city, rickshaws are the most practical in the narrow streets.

For Hayatabad, University Town or Board Bazaar, the BRT is often faster than a car at peak times.

Step-by-step help: How to book a Faisal Movers ticket.

Before you travel: quick checklist

  • Original CNIC (B-Form for children). It must match the name on the ticket.
  • Ticket on your phone: keep the SMS or e-ticket screenshot; mobile data can be weak at terminals.
  • Reach early: 30 minutes before departure, 45 minutes on Eid and long weekends.
  • Luggage: label your bag; keep medicines, chargers and valuables in your hand bag.

Tips for this route

  • A morning bus gives you a full day in Peshawar for Qissa Khwani Bazaar or the museum.
  • Keep your CNIC handy for checks.
  • Evening buses back to Islamabad are busy on Fridays and Sundays.

Safety, scams and family travel

Fake "Faisal Movers booking" numbers and WhatsApp accounts are common on social media. They take an advance payment by JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank transfer and never issue a ticket. Buy only through the official website, the Bookkaru app, the UAN 111-22-44-88 or a terminal counter, and never share an OTP, PIN or card number with a caller.

When travelling with children or elderly relatives, choose seats near the front (less motion, quicker exit at stops), carry snacks and medicines in hand luggage, and ask the hostess for help at the boarding door if someone needs assistance with steps.
