Bus timings

Direct departures may not run every day. Search Islamabad to Quetta on faisalmovers.com for your date. If nothing is shown, travel to Multan or D.G. Khan first and connect there.

The route

The usual road goes south via the M-2 and M-4 to Multan, then west through D.G. Khan, over Fort Munro and through Loralai to Quetta. Another option uses the Indus Highway. Both include long single-carriageway stretches and mountain sections.

Along the way: stops and landmarks

On the most common road, the bus heads south to Multan on motorways, then west through Muzaffargarh and D.G. Khan. It climbs to Fort Munro on a steep mountain road, then continues through Rakhni and Loralai to Quetta. The Indus Highway is an alternative through Kohat, Bannu and D.I. Khan, joining the same western roads further south.

Facilities are limited on the mountain stretches; carry water, food and warm clothes.

Choosing the right class

If a direct bus runs on your date, pick the most comfortable seat available. If you need to connect in Multan or D.G. Khan, you can use a standard seat for the first leg and choose a better seat for the longer onward stretch.

Best time to travel

Quetta has cold winters and pleasant summers. April to June and September to October are the best months. From December to February night temperatures often drop below freezing, and the Fort Munro and Loralai roads can be affected by snow.

Arriving in Quetta: getting around

Quetta, Balochistan's capital, is a valley city at about 1,680 m, surrounded by mountains. It is known for its fruit orchards, dry fruits, Hanna Lake and its role as a trade centre towards Afghanistan and Iran.

Local taxis and rickshaws are the main transport; ride-hailing coverage is more limited than in Punjab. Jinnah Road and the Cantt are the main centres. Keep your CNIC with you and follow local advice.

Step-by-step help: How to book a Faisal Movers ticket.

Before you travel: quick checklist

  • Original CNIC (B-Form for children). It must match the name on the ticket.
  • Ticket on your phone: keep the SMS or e-ticket screenshot; mobile data can be weak at terminals.
  • Reach early: 30 minutes before departure, 45 minutes on Eid and long weekends.
  • Luggage: label your bag; keep medicines, chargers and valuables in your hand bag.

Tips for this route

  • Quetta is very cold in winter; pack warm clothes.
  • Keep your CNIC with you for checkpoints.
  • Check current travel advice for Balochistan before you go.

Safety, scams and family travel

Fake "Faisal Movers booking" numbers and WhatsApp accounts are common on social media. They take an advance payment by JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank transfer and never issue a ticket. Buy only through the official website, the Bookkaru app, the UAN 111-22-44-88 or a terminal counter, and never share an OTP, PIN or card number with a caller.

When travelling with children or elderly relatives, choose seats near the front (less motion, quicker exit at stops), carry snacks and medicines in hand luggage, and ask the hostess for help at the boarding door if someone needs assistance with steps.
