Multan is Faisal Movers' home city, and the Lahore to Multan run is one of its most frequent services. Since the M-3 and M-4 motorways opened, the trip has become a comfortable half-day journey instead of the old stop-start ride on the N-5 through Okara and Sahiwal.

This guide lists the official fares, where to board in Lahore, where you arrive in Multan and what to expect on the way.

Bus timings

Buses run through the day and night on this route. Faisal Movers does not publish a printed timetable; the live list of departures and free seats appears on the official booking page once you choose your date. Early-morning buses reach Multan by lunchtime, which suits business visits to the city.

The route

From Lahore the bus heads to the M-3 (Lahore–Abdul Hakeem) motorway and then joins the M-4 near Abdul Hakeem for the final stretch to Multan. There is usually one short stop at a motorway service area. Some services still use the older N-5 road through Okara, Sahiwal and Khanewal to pick up passengers, which adds time. Ask at the counter which road your bus takes if you need a stop on the way.

Multan to Lahore

The Multan to Lahore service follows the same motorways in reverse. Faisal Movers lists the same Rs 1,890 Economy and Rs 2,450 Business fares for the Multan–Lahore direction.

Boarding and arrival points

Boarding in Lahore

Board at the Faisal Movers terminal at Abdullah Travels, Band Road, Lahore (UAN 042-111-22-44-88). In Multan the bus ends at the main terminal near Vehari Chowk (UAN 061-111-22-44-88), which is also Faisal Movers' head office city.

Choosing the right class

Economy is good value here: the motorway is smooth and the trip is short. Choose Business on night departures, if you are tall, or if you are travelling with an elderly parent who needs more space to get in and out of the seat. The difference is Rs 560 at the official fares.

Best time to travel

October to March is the best period; Multan winters are pleasant and dry, although December mornings can be foggy on the motorway. From May to August Multan is one of the hottest cities in Pakistan, often above 45°C, so travel early and carry water. The Urs season at the shrines of Bahauddin Zakariya and Shah Rukn-e-Alam brings extra visitors and busier buses.

Arriving in Multan: getting around

Multan, the "city of saints", is known for its Sufi shrines, blue-tiled architecture, mangoes and handicrafts such as blue pottery. Faisal Movers is headquartered here, so the Multan terminal is one of its busiest.

The terminal near Vehari Chowk is on the eastern side of the city. Rickshaws and ride-hailing cars reach the Cantt, Bosan Road and the old city (Hussain Agahi bazaar, the shrines) in about 15 to 25 minutes. The Multan Metrobus runs along the city's main north–south corridor and is a cheap way to reach the city centre.

Step-by-step help: How to book a Faisal Movers ticket.

Before you travel: quick checklist

  • Original CNIC (B-Form for children). It must match the name on the ticket.
  • Ticket on your phone: keep the SMS or e-ticket screenshot; mobile data can be weak at terminals.
  • Reach early: 30 minutes before departure, 45 minutes on Eid and long weekends.
  • Luggage: label your bag; keep medicines, chargers and valuables in your hand bag.

Tips for this route

  • Choose the motorway service if you are going all the way; it is noticeably faster than the N-5 bus.
  • Multan is very hot from May to August. A morning departure means you arrive before the afternoon heat.
  • From Vehari Chowk, rickshaws and ride-hailing cars reach Cantt and Bosan Road in 15 to 25 minutes.
  • Business seats have more legroom; on a 5-hour trip the difference is small, so Economy is good value.

Safety, scams and family travel

Fake "Faisal Movers booking" numbers and WhatsApp accounts are common on social media. They take an advance payment by JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank transfer and never issue a ticket. Buy only through the official website, the Bookkaru app, the UAN 111-22-44-88 or a terminal counter, and never share an OTP, PIN or card number with a caller.

When travelling with children or elderly relatives, choose seats near the front (less motion, quicker exit at stops), carry snacks and medicines in hand luggage, and ask the hostess for help at the boarding door if someone needs assistance with steps.
